Best vet care in the area! Would not let anyone else care for my fur babies!

The doctors at Bayfield Animal Hospital have always seemed good, but unfortunately I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND the practice after my experience with their estimates and billing. I was given a high-side/low-side estimate for a dental on my 11-year-old Boston Terrier, and my final bill ended up being about $200 over the high-side estimate. When I questioned it, I was told the additional cost was because extracting two teeth was considered an “unforeseen complication.” In my opinion, and based on conversations I’ve had with a couple of other local vets, needing to pull a couple of teeth during a dental on an older dog is a reasonably foreseeable possibility and should either be included in the high-side estimate or clearly explained upfront as something that could push the bill beyond that amount. I brought my concerns to them and gave them an opportunity to make it right, but nothing was done to resolve the issue. I personally feel the way this was handled lacked transparency and integrity. Because of that, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Bayfield Animal Hospital. If you do choose to take your pet there, I would recommend doing some extra due diligence and asking upfront, preferably in writing, exactly what could cause your bill to go above the high-side estimate to avoid the cash grab tactics!

I Do not know what happened to my initial review ..Very concerning! Reposting best I can. BAH since moving here From Littleton has been nothing but fantastic with My Boy! And just 2yrs ago Our Feline 🐈. Dr.Bill Rohn has handled My Boy with care and is really one of the few people that he is comfortable with...that alone tells me alot ..because if you know my Boy he is very particular who can even come close to him in my presence... Couple yrs ago Dr.Bill did Patella surgery for my boys' Left ... Excellent recovery and great post op . He will be getting his Left dine this Fall season with ONLY DR.BILL. Whenever I've had any concerns with My Boy Dr.Bill always has been able to be available and give me instruction on how to proceed..TAKES his time with me on the phone and addresses my own concerns with the issue at hand. Recently Myy Boy had an anal rupture and Dr Bill knew exactly what To advise me on and saw him the next day (although they were booked) .My Boy has recovered nicely since then !! Which brings me to the following ; I read about the same time some negative review on Dr.Bill.. Did a little questioning here and there b4 writing anything.. Because you might feel not satisfied with what you are being advised on and Vet has taken his time to stay with you on phone and You feel its not good enough and turn around and write a bad review ...you really are not doing any good for your pet! Let's face it nothing is perfect but 1000% I know this particular person doesn't get the answers she wants to hear WITH ANYTHING bad review she gives !!! BAH has been there for decades and has many many many clients ..That alone should speak for itself... I stand by Dr.Bill and BAH always ... I am grateful to them and their dedication to serving Their Clients ! Sincerely!!

Everyone is great at Bayfield Animal Hospital! I would not take my furry loved ones anywhere else.

I find it difficult to express just how much I appreciate the entire team at Bayfield Animal Hospital. Routine visits always leave us feeling as if our pups needs are well attended to, with the staff spending as much time as needed with us for questions, etc. What I find remarkable and heartwarming is the level of caring this team has for our pups. In one instance, a tumor was discovered which then quickly became a life threatening issue. Dr Rohn treated us as a 100% priority during on call hours, along with Karen and another team member to perform an emergency surgery. Months later, our Rhodesian is doing wonderfully as a result. More recently, our other pup passed away unexpectedly. The simple act of needing to bring our pup to Bayfield Animal Hospital (again during off hours) for aftercare was incredibly hard for us, but necessary. The kindness, compassion, and genuine caring (and feeling our loss with us) left us feeling as if we were surrounded by family who all cared just as much for our sweet dog. I cannot say enough good things about this group of caring, knowledgeable, and professional individuals.
