I brought my 8-year-old Border Collie into Brighton Animal Clinic on 5/29/26 because of excessive thirst and panting after her heat cycle ended, she was examined by Dr Laurie Osborne who dismissed my concerns saying her drinking 1 gallon of water per day (my dog probably consumed 1/4 of that before this) was not unusual. I was sent home, no bloodwork on my dog taken. My dog ultimately developed Cataracts and was brought back in on 9/10/26. Another Veterinarian then had her blood drawn and was diagnosed with high blood Glucose levels resulting from untreated Diabetes. The Cataracts resulted from The Diabetes. Sadly, my dog was euthanized as a result. Dr Laurie Osborne missed one big red flag for dogs developing Diabetes - EXCESSIVE THIRST. I WOULD WARN ANYONE who is in search of a veterinarian to STEER CLEAR OF THIS CLINIC.... It could quite possibly save your pets life in the future.

I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional service, poor communication, and clear bias at this clinic. Over a year ago, I scheduled a surgery for my pit bull to have his teeth cleaned and several skin tags removed. After waiting eight months, I called to confirm and was told the appointment was still four months away. Despite having two prior visits where these skin tags were evaluated—including a large one under his paw that causes him visible pain—the clinic called me the night before his scheduled surgery to announce they would not remove them without yet another separate consultation. Adding insult to injury, every time I bring my dog in, the staff acts afraid of him and treats him like a hazard, while enthusiastically greeting other breeds like Labradoodles right in front of us. My dog is well-trained, friendly, and simply nervous like any other pet would be. This facility feels completely driven by money rather than animal care, offering inadequate information, endless delays, and zero empathy. I will no longer be bringing my dogs here, and I strongly recommend pet owners look elsewhere for professional, compassionate service.

We greatly appreciate this clinic, and Dr. Osborne and Dr. Martin. Our beloved Sophie dealt with multiple serious health issues over hear 13 years. We recently moved to this area and began going here, mostly seeing Dr. Osborne. She was particularly knowledgeable and experienced with Sophie's Addison's disease, which was very important to us. Informative, transparent, patient, diligent, treating our dog with great care and love. We highly recommend this clinic! (And for those who want to know, they do take Care Credit.)
