Best (only) mediocre vet care in cb. Have gone there on multiple occasions as they are the only vet in town and a cat who gets car sick on long drives. Had to go on a couple emergencies and when I went back for a surgery to remedy the issue, Dr Laura didn't even have notes from prior visits about which side the issue was on over the years. Went to get blood work done last month and was told I would hear back in an hour or so. Two days later, I called. I got the front desk person to send me results, but didnt hear back from Dr Laura until I got a voicemail from her, arguing that she had sent it already (she didn't). Would not recommend for anything other than vaccines. But even then, you should make sure to take your own notes.

We were very impressed by Dr Ramos and her staff’s kindness, concern and efficiency. We are from out of town, but they made the time to see us the same day, get an X-ray, and reassure us that our goofy Lab had not swallowed a rock after all. Dr Ramos is a gem.

I’m a part-timer in Crested Butte, I make a point of waiting until I’m in town to bring my animals to Crested Butte Animal Hospital — that says everything. The entire staff is warm, friendly, and genuinely caring. Bowie, the veterinary technician, is absolutely amazing with my animals. Dr. Ramos is exactly the kind of vet you hope to find — she takes her time, really listens to your concerns, and is thorough on wellness checks. She’s been wonderful with both my 13yo-Golden Retriever and my 7yo Great Pyrenees — two very different dogs with very different needs and she handles them both with such care and attention. No upselling, no pressure — just honest, thoughtful options for what’s best for your animals. Pricing is very reasonable. If you’re lucky enough to be in Crested Butte and you need care for your fur babies this place is worth it. 🐾
