What is there to say? Super nice people all around. They take their time, they care, and they’ve taken great care of my pets. Highly recommend!
Our kitten, who is less than a year old, suddenly developed a very cloudy left eye overnight. We were terrified, especially after the vet told us there was a possibility she could lose her vision, have cancer, a whole bunch of devastating news. We brought her in on Wednesday, where they gave her temporary medication and told us we’d receive test results first thing Friday morning.
Friday came, and we never received a call. By noon, we called ourselves. The receptionist sounded annoyed, sighed while speaking to us, put us on hold, and simply said the vet was busy and would call later. No one ever called back. We called again before closing because we were scared about our kitten, only to be met with even more rudeness. The receptionist told us, “You don’t have to keep calling. Once we get the results, we’ll call you.” Considering how serious our kitten’s condition was and we had to keep her somewhere with 0 lights for days we simply didn’t want to keep her their for the weekend because they were busy and they close 3 days so we would’ve got the results all the way Tuesday, the lack of compassion was incredibly disappointing. To make matters worse, they also lost our stool sample.
The only bright spot was Ally and another vet tech, whose name I unfortunately can’t remember. They were kind, compassionate, and genuinely cared about our kitten. They took the time to comfort us, and even our kitten seemed calm around them. They deserve recognition for the excellent care they provided.
We’ve had multiple appointments with them our daughter was with them for almost a year when she was barely 0.4 pounds they met her. Oh and they said she had feline herpes when we first brought her in which now the tests results have been proven that she doesn’t have that, so we still don’t know why her eyes is watering. Please see cute pictures of her there as kitten and now how grown she is in her cute outfits. Our view instantly change when we actually needed their support.
Based on our experience, I would recommend the New Castle location instead. The staff there, including Ally, truly care about their patients and treat your pets like family. Compassion makes all the difference when your pet’s health is on the line.
To make things even more disappointing, we called the Glenwood location to cancel all future appointments and let them know we had decided to transfer our kitten’s care to the New Castle location because we were unhappy with how we were treated. After expressing our dissatisfaction the receptionist didn’t even give us time to explain everything, the receptionist simply replied, “Okay.” There was no apology, no concern, no attempt to understand why we were leaving, and no effort to make things right. That response confirmed we had made the right decision.
