I brought my dog to Banfield early this morning because he was very ill and needed to be seen. This was my first impression of this vet hospital at pet-smart. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing, particularly when it came to customer service and communication.The receptionist, Faith, was very rude when I dropped my dog off and again when I picked him up. After spending over $500 on his visit, I expected much better communication and professionalism.When we got home, I noticed a large fluid-like sack/swelling on his side that I had not noticed before. I immediately called Banfield to ask about it. Someone answered and asked how they could help. I explained who I was and gave them my dog's name, and I was immediately told, with an attitude, that they were busy and placed on hold. When I tried calling back a couple of minutes later, the call went straight to voicemail. My boyfriend then called shortly afterward and they answered immediately.On top of that, there was little to no explanation about the medications my dog was prescribed, what he was given during his visit, or what side effects or reactions we should watch for at home. As a pet owner, especially when my dog is already sick, I should not have to chase down basic information or feel like I'm bothering the staff when I have a legitimate concern after spending over $500.The lack of communication, dismissive attitude, and overall customer service were completely unprofessional. I understand veterinary hospitals can be extremely busy, but that is not an excuse for making a concerned pet owner feel dismissed, especially when calling about a new issue noticed immediately after leaving the hospital.I expected much better from Banfield and will seriously reconsider bringing my pets back here.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I used Banfield for years under their wellness plan. Upon coming back and renewing my plan, they said I did not need to check out. I got a call the next day to come back and sign and present another card, so I did need to check out after all. I came back 4 business days later due to work conflicts, and they already sent my account to collections. The lady at the front desk was also extremely rude and gave me a corporate number to call and sent me away with no help. I won’t be coming back to this corporate animal hospital hellscape where they prioritize profit over the health of your animal.

This place is dangerous for pets and a joke! We have a dog we adopted so he gets extremely stressed if left in kennels for an extended period of time this banfield location is very aware of that and promised if we dropped him off at 7:45 he’d get right in for a teeth cleaning so we booked the appointment and dropped him off. The morning we dropped him again they confirmed he’d be treated right away so he’s not sitting in a kennel all day dr Cano called at 1pm saying my dog has a heart murmur he had just barely been getting to my dog he’d be in the kennel for 5 hours at that point we told him don’t start the cleaning we are going to pick him up he was so rude to my mom on the phone she was in tears. When we get there the front desk ladies were so rude and unprofessional they purposely took almost 15 minutes to bring my dog out from the back like it was a joke to them just to keep him back there a little bit longer When Dr. Cano finally came out after we got my dog, he was rude and unprofessional as well. We ended up taking the dog to another vet right after to get checked out because he could barely walk straight and didn’t seem to have gotten any water all day, the other vet says he doesn’t have a heart murmur. He was just extremely stressed to the point that it could be unhealthy and dangerous. I would never ever bring any of my pets here again or anywhere where Dr. Cano works. This place turns over staff it seems like fairly quickly when they had Dr. Drake. She was great but they ran her off if anyone knows where she’s working now please let me know and please do not bring any pets here.
