Zero stars if I could. Extremely disappointed with Elite Equine Veterinary Services. We contacted them about our baby filly having eye issues that we believed could be conjunctivitis and were placed on a wait list. We were told it wasn’t an emergency and to wait, instead of being advised early on to seek more specialized care. After sending photos, we were told they could come out and see her. When they arrived, they did not perform any assessment. No vitals were taken, no exam was done, and they did not touch her once. They glanced at her eye for a second and immediately said it was beyond their capabilities to treat in the field. They told us she had an ulcer and referred us to Littleton. They then said they were “going to get out of our hair so we didn’t have a huge bill” and left shortly after. Despite this, we later received a $400 bill. When we called to clarify, we were told it was a “discounted rate” and that $200 of it was a “Penrose fee,” even though they are only about 7 minutes from our home. None of this was communicated beforehand. If this was outside their scope, they should have told us from the beginning, especially after reviewing photos. Instead, we were told to wait, then charged hundreds of dollars for essentially nothing. Now her condition has worsened, and we are being forced to drive 3 hours away and pay for more extensive care. Zero help, poor communication, and extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend them

Simon is the vet I use, and I'm very happy with him, I've had lameness issues with 3 horses, and he's been very knowledgeable.
