Dr. Robin is the only vet in Northern Colorado (and we tried several) who could sit on the floor with our highly reactive dog and make him feel comfortable. No one outside of his family members was ever let in like that. I was incredibly anxious bringing Bandit to her but very quickly realized she’s different and she CARES. I didn’t feel judged by my special needs dogs behavior, she understood it and worked with him. Dr. Robin is such a blessing, and comforted us when we lost him.

The most knowledgeable Veterinarian in Northern Colorado. I have been taking my animals to Dr. Downing for years and have been able to manage my animals health and keep them happy and content. Is she a little too blunt for some pet owners? Absolutely. Dr. Downing doesn't cut corners when it comes to your pets care. Unfortunately, some people can't handle the truth when they are scolded for over feeding their pets. (I know because it's happened to me! Oops! That little Alphie was tricking us and getting extra crunchies!) Not only did she catch Mufasa's kidney disease early. We have been able to keep it managed and keep him happy and as healthy as possible. But we've also noticed he was grumpy from being in pain. After giving him the prescribed medication he's gotten back to his normal talkative, snuggly self. Drm Downing has helped us with our "overly aggressive dog." Spoiler alert Willow wasn't aggressive, but in fact anxious. After addressing the anxiety, she's a totally different dog who can actually do dog things like; walkies, going for rides and being excited for when people come over and playing with all her toys. (Willow is a tad spoiled.) So, she might "upsell you" but that's not what it is. It's simply being an expert who knows her stuff and will give you what you need to make the most of the time with our animals. Our animals aren't scared of their vet visits, because Dr. Downing knows and actively works with you and your pet to keep them comfortable. Because she loves them just as much as you do. It's just a matter of if you listen to her advice or not. Thanks Doc!
