Great experience with these guys! I’m a college student and a first time pet owner, and I feel like they were very reasonable with me both times I took my cat in. I worked with Jason and things were seamless and trouble-free. I’ll continue to be taking my cat here!
Dr. King is the kind of veterinarian every pet owner hopes to find, the person you know will answer your call in the middle of the night, even just before a holiday, because he is genuinely that loving, compassionate, and dedicated.
While we were on vacation in another state, I knew something was terribly wrong with our 2.5-pound Yorkie, Coco, despite having already taken her to a local veterinarian. Frightened and desperate, I called Dr. King. He listened carefully, reassured me, recognized that Coco was experiencing cluster seizures, and told me exactly what to do and what information to give the emergency veterinarian. His knowledge and guidance helped save our sweet Coco’s life.
Dr. King’s care did not end with that phone call. He continued calling while we were away to check on Coco and make sure she was receiving the care she needed. To Dr. King, his patients are not simply animals on a chart, they are family. He treats our fur babies as though they were his own.
Coco is alive and doing well today because Dr. King answered when we needed him most. Doctors like him restore your faith in the world and give you hope when everything feels hopeless. His extraordinary compassion, commitment, and expertise are truly rare. Our family will never be able to thank him enough, and I cannot recommend him more highly.
Cherrelyn Animal Hospital is less of a “hospital” to me and more of a safe place where I know I can take my dogs for all of their needs.
We have been using Cherrelyn since we moved to Colorado years ago, and they have always taken great care of our dogs. From vaccinations and routine health care to general medical questions and concerns, Jason King has always provided professional advice while still making every visit feel personal and welcoming.
This review is partly from me and partly from my husky. 😂
Our husky has quite a bit of anxiety when we aren't around, so finding a place where she actually feels comfortable has been incredibly important to us. Cherrelyn is the only place we have found where she genuinely gets excited when we pull in. She actually enjoys going there!
That has made a huge difference when we need to board her during family trips out of town. Knowing that Jason and his team are looking after her, and that she is somewhere she feels safe and comfortable, gives us the peace of mind we need to relax while we're away.
Thank you, Jason, and the entire Cherrelyn team, for taking such great care of our dogs and for making our anxious girl feel right at home. We truly appreciate everything you do!
Hate to have to return to edit this review after 10 years with this vet whom I loved. They have become incredibly predatory, holding pets hostage for less than small percentages unpaid. I can't understand how this is a good business or animal welfare choice either with the extended boarding of animals (cost they probably don't recover) they seize and send to shelters. They formerly allowed follow up payments if a majority (like 85% percent) of a bill had been paid and you are a regular with good contact info, but no longer. I've spent upwards of 15k here and they recently tried to hold my dog on $55 unpaid of a nearly $400 bill. It's cruel and inhumane. I understand raising prices right now, but bullying people is an echo of the original owner who I saw haunting the halls recently. If you can't operate in low income areas anymore, pack up and go to Castle Rock. This policy is just cruel, full stop.
Edit to respond to the owners response: "a few financial tribulations" is an astounding phrasing. You all are aware of the state of things, currently. There is no reasonable business case to make for boarding an animal indefinitely, possibly turning them over to an underfunded shelter, over 55 dollars when they are in a home that cares for them properly. You will hit that 55 in cost in the first day of boarding. This is a policy that costs you more money than it saves you, and if you would think about it for a few minutes outside of the presence of the owner, you all might have an empathetic breakthrough. But that's probably too hopefull of me. You will continue to seize animals like vehicles and put them in traumatic situations for a few bucks that you falsely claim are easily acquired through predatory lenders. It's sickening and an amplified example of privatized medicine. At least the vets there bend over backward to reduce cost because (imo) they don't want to see people robbed of their pets under the policies they don't fully agree with either. Great vets, predatory financial practices.
I have worked in the boarding facilities of a few vets, so when inevitably you have the "wow some customers are just nuts" debrief, just let everyone examine the records you still have and the ones I have that reached disposition on your end (7 yrs I think) if desired. The story pretty much tells itself in the form of paid invoices. But honestly, thank you for saving several of my pets lives on many occasions, sorry to see it go this way.
